| Kaitlin
was born and raised in a small town, right in the middle of the
beautiful Columbia River Gorge, White Salmon, Washington. She is a
sixteen-year-old sophomore at Columbia High School, where she is active in Jazz & Show Choir and the Arts
Department. Kaitlin received her first horse, Peaches, on her 2nd
Christmas from her grandparents, Howard and Jeanette Johnston. Her
love of horses grew from there.
Kaitlin has been involved with 4-H from an early age, in a variety of interests from horses to swine to sewing! Kaitlin is President of both her current 4-H clubs, The Young Riders and The Wild Hogs. She has shown a horse project at the Klickitat County Fair & Rodeo every year since she was five. This is where she got her first exposure to Rodeo and all that goes along with it. Kaitlin knew from about five years of age that she too, would one day be a Rodeo Queen and she has lived her life up to now with that goal in mind. The Glenwood Rodeo is one of Klickitat Counties long running rodeos celebrating its 74th year. Kaitlin would like to invite you and your family to join her and her horses Thunder, Dottie and Dreamer on Father’s Day weekend to experience an Old West style NPRA rodeo and a family fun parade. You can get more information on the website. Kaitlin would like to thank every one who has helped her in achieving her dream of becoming a Rodeo Queen, especially her Grandmother. |
