Courtenay DeHoff
2007 Kansas High School Rodeo Queen
2006 KHSRA Rodeo Queen, 2006 NHSRA 2nd Attendant

Courtenay DeHoff is the sixteen year-old daughter of Tim and Cindy DeHoff and is a senior at Tonganoxie High School .  She is enjoying her third year of high school rodeo by barrel racing, tying goats, and pole bending and hopes to be on a college rodeo team in Texas or Oklahoma in two years.

Courtenay recently swept the 2007 KHSRA Queen Pageant by earning top accolades in all eight divisions.  She will return to Springfield, Illinois this summer to vie for the National High School Rodeo Association Queen title.  At the 2006 NHSRF Queen contest she was thrilled to be chosen Second Attendant after eleven days of competing.  Courtenay won the prepared speech contest, was second in impromptu, and third in the modeling.  She placed in the top ten in all the other contests.  She was also a member of the 3rd place Kansas Knowledge Bowl team.  She was humbled by the support of her Kansas High School team mates.

When she is not rodeoing, Courtenay spends the weekends showing Angus cattle across the country.  She is a life member of the National Junior Angus Association.  Courtenay also has competed in Jackson , Mississippi several times at the Youth World NBHA Show.  She is an NBHA member and a nine year 4-H member.  Courtenay was the Kansas 4A High School Reserve Speech champion as a member of her high school Forensics team.  She also participates in FBLA, FCCLA, and Spanish club at school.

Courtenay would love to attend your events.  Please contact the Kansas High School Rodeo queen coordinator, Dreama Aldredge for scheduling.

Thank you to Jo and the staff at Roy Frey Western Lifestyles in Topeka for their 51-years of supporting Kansas High School Rodeo and the Queen contest.
