Scenes from the 2004 Rodeo Queen
Clinic
Ten young ladies and their parents
gathered in Dallas Center, Iowa in April for the annual Miss Rodeo Iowa Rodeo
Queen Clinic. Instructors included Bobbie Hinds (MRI State Delegate),
Kimber Metcalf (MRI '03) and Jill Perkins (MRI '02). Guest speakers
included Kevin Steward of Profile Animal Nutrition, rodeo judge Bruce Brown,
rodeo secretary Rhonda Brown, Sherry Davis with Mary Kay and designer Ashley
Kelber. A variety of topics were discussed and each participant practiced
their modeling, personal interview and speech skills. Kimber and Jill
choreographed a modeling number to give each participant a taste of modeling at
the state pageants. Special guest for the weekend was Jordanne Blair, Miss
Teen Rodeo Iowa '04, and Bethany Jo Thompson, the reigning Miss URA and past
MTRI, was able to drop by for a few minutes as well. The Miss Rodeo Iowa
Pageant would like to thank those already mentioned as well as Paula Jameson (MTRI
Pageant Director) and Jack Day (Horsemanship and Roping Instructor) for their
time and dedication to the Miss Rodeo Iowa Program.
