Courtney Smith is the reigning 2007 Miss Range Days Rodeo Queen from the home of the Range Days Rodeo in  Rapid City,  South Dakota. She is the 22-year-old daughter of Tom and Deanna Smith. She recently graduated from  South Dakota State University with a degree in Mass Communication and Business. Her future plans include obtaining a Masters in Public Relations, with hopes of someday working for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

Courtney was a member of the SDSU Varsity Equestrian Team, Journalism Club, Collegiate 4-H, and a photographer for the SDSU Collegian. Courtney enjoys spending time with family and friends, photography, camping, cooking, music, and designing her own western clothing. Rodeo and horses are a great passion of Courtney’s life and her hope is that today’s generation will be given the unique opportunity to find the support, courage, and even more importantly, themselves, in the incredible sport of RODEO – South Dakota’s official sport.
