Michelle was born and raised in the shadows of the Cascade Mountains, along the Skagit River, in the quaint town of Sedro-Woolley . The oldest of three girls, Michelle is the 23 year old daughter of Christine and the late David Hunter. Michelle was selected the 2008 Miss Spokane Interstate Rodeo from a group of 7 wonderful girls during their first annual pageant in February. Along with the title Michelle also won the categories of Speech and Appearance and was tied for Horsemanship. “I am excited to be the first Miss Spokane Interstate Rodeo and can’t wait to hit the ground running to pave the road for the future!” Michelle grew up on horses and has been involved in rodeo ever since. She was in 4-H, FFA, a local drill team, played soccer, ran track and was in the high school band, most of which she is still involved. Other than horses, Michelle enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with friends, and collecting “bling.” Michelle graduated form Skagit Valley College in 2005 and is now attending Central Washington University to major in communications with a minor in sociology. She is a member of the CWU Rodeo Club. Her ultimate life goal is to co own a top of the line horse facility with her two sisters. The Spokane Interstate Rodeo is held September 5-7 at the Spokane Fair and Expo Center in Spokane, Washington . Michelle would love to see all of you there!
