RodeoRoyalty.com ~ Where the rodeo queens come to meet!
Hello and welcome to RodeoRoyalty.com. In 1997 I was asked to write a monthly article on one of the Internet's first rodeo focused websites, RodeoAttitude.com. Due to a number of circumstances I chose to branch off and create a site dedicated to all things rodeo queens.
The site has seen many changes over the years and there have been times when it has sat dormant. Over a year ago I made the decision to once again put site maintenance on the back burner as I concentrated on family life. I was recently asked to judge a pageant and the experience left me with a desire to once again revitalize the site.
My goal is to provide timely, relevant information to girls and their supporters who are seeking and holding titles, to support coordinators in their efforts to provide well managed contests and to offer suggestions to judges in order to enhance their experiences. I will not be offering a resale section for clothing as I had in the past. The maintenance is just too much and there are many groups on Facebook where you can find great deals. For now we are using a forum style of page to help spread the word about upcoming pageants and clinics. I'm not sure how that's going to work out but for now we'll give it a go.

Being a rodeo queen was something I happened into and I'm really glad I did. I held several titles and placed in the top ten at three national pageants. The memories I made, the experiences I had and the life skills I learned will never leave me. However, the best part of this journey has been the friendships I've made. Thanks to Facebook I've rekindled many of those friendships and made many new friends through RR.com. In August of 2013 I attended the Golden Anniversary Celebration for the Miss Rodeo Kansas Pageant where I was able to meet up with many of those who are near and dear to my heart, including Shelia Croft (left) who I first met during my reign and have now worked together for many years through the Miss Rodeo America Pageant.
I encourage you to utilize the information here as a starting point. There is not a single contestant who wouldn't benefit from one-on-one coaching and attending clinics, especially for horsemanship. You can never stop learning! If there is a topic you want to see covered here or would like more information on a topic already covered please don't hesitate to contact me. (Sorry, I'm not doing one-on-one coaching right now.)
Best of luck to you as you pursue your rodeo queen dreams! ~ Bobbie Ward-Hinds
