Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I get started/find a pageant in my area?
We recommend you locate your state pageant via the Miss Rodeo America pageant at this link.  When sending an email be sure to include your age as local pageants have a variety of age requirements and this will allow the National Director to better help you in finding a pageant.  Also, some of the state pageants have contacts for local pageants on their websites.

Where do I find the Wrangler Q-Baby jeans?
Rod's Western Palace carries a full line of Q-Baby jeans along with other apparel and accessories.

I'm putting on a clinic/pageant, can I copy your materials for our use?
In the past we had send out PDF documents of our materials.  However, we would now prefer if you sent your participants directly to the website for the information.

Where can I find a rodeo queen dress pattern?
There are no commercial "rodeo queen dress" patterns on the market.  However, a good seamstress can modify a commercial pattern to an appropriate style.  We recommend two-piece dresses for beginners as they are easier to fit.  A straight skirt combined with a blouse and/or jacket is flattering to most contestant's body shape and is more versatile.  Also look for patterns with princess seams, these give you more fitting options than other styles.  Check out my "Sewing for Rodeo Queens" Pinterest board for pattern ideas.

Before constructing your garment ALWAYS do a muslin fitting first before cutting into expensive leather or other materials!
