The appearance category of most pageants generally accounts for 25% of your overall score.  In this category paying attention to every detail is a must and no detail is too small.

Judges will be scoring:
  • Fit of clothing
  • Awareness of current Western & rodeo queen fashion trends
  • Hat shape and style
  • Cleanliness of clothing & accessories
  • Personal grooming
  • Appropriate & flattering make-up & hairstyle
  • Posture & poise
  • General attractiveness & fitness
As you progress through your pageant career you will find your appearance will change, sometimes drastically.  One of the most fulfilling aspects of working with young women in pageants is to watch them make the transition from shy, quiet girls who have never worn even a coat of mascara to polished, confident young women.
